Neon White Multiworld Setup Guide

Requirements

Install the Archipelago world

  1. Download `neonwhite.apworld`.
  2. Place it in the custom_worlds folder inside your Archipelago installation.
  3. Restart the Archipelago Launcher if it was open.

Install the game mod

  1. Follow the NeonLite installation and usage instructions, but install MelonLoader 0.6.1 when prompted. Do not substitute a newer MelonLoader release.
  2. Run Neon White once after installing MelonLoader. This creates the required Mods and UserLibs folders.
  3. Download NWArchipelago.dll from the pinned Neon White Archipelago message and place it in the game's Mods folder.
  4. Download Archipelago.MultiClient.Net.dll and place it in either the game's UserLibs or Mods folder.
  5. Start Neon White and press F5 to open the mod settings. Enable the Archipelago integration and enter the server, slot name, and password for your room as needed.

Generate and play

Create your player YAML on the Neon White Player Options page, then use it when generating an Archipelago game. Once the room is hosted, launch Neon White, press F5, and connect with the matching room and slot settings.

For help with YAML files, generation, or hosting, see the general Archipelago setup guide.
